Kanye’s “Graduation” v. 50’s “Curtis”

Kanye’s lyrics remind me of me…when I’m high and everything reminds me of everything else. Example you say? Ok, here I go:
“I just saw Die Hard, life’s so hard, but life can’t get me down, I’m Candyface, head lookin’ like the moon, lookin’ like swiss cheese, I’ll put a hole in all you haters, said I couldn’t make it, check out these homemade cheese balls, my dog’ll chew you up like garlic meatballs…”
They aren’t exactly inspired. But ohhh his beats.

50 on the other hand, each word has a purpose beyond matching “Blond dyke” with “Klondike.” I’m pretty sure that if 50 says he’ll “pop a cap,” he will, and if “cap” just so happens to rhyme with “tap” in the next line, then there is a damn good reason beyond lyrical convenience. Although, his melodies aren’t nearly as diverse as Mr. West’s.

But I’m a lover, not a hater, I won’t choose a side. I pirated them both.

Your lyrics were inspiring! So who's album is better? I gotta know.

haha, I've been trying to figure that out lately. I think both albums are both artists' best so far. I have to listen to 50's more throughly. I've listened to Kanye's a few times now, and it is really good. So far, it's a draw for me.

What do you think???

I love how irrelevant the dual release date is to anything, everywhere.
