Being the fashion maven that I am, sporting a sweatshirt made of fine generic cottons and slacks made of an admirable material known to many as jean, I have a few 2008 trend predictions that if you follow, you'll be the hit of the town; the man of the hour; the lady of the night.
1) Fanny Packs
Yes, the fanny pack is back. I myself tried many a time to bring back this utilatarian item, but failed miserably. But 2008 is the year of the fanny pack. Wear one made of fabric with lots of pockets and sport it with a bubble vest for the ultimate in urban chic.
2) The Man Vest
Men look hot in a vest. Women look even hotter. Looks great with skinny jeans and high boots, man pants, or over a white collar shirt. It's Gatsby-esque brillance.
3) Fedoras
Popularized by Justin Timberlake, Kevin Federline, and the exquisite Johnny Depp, the Fedora is classic modernity. Nearly every clothing brand is making one; you'll be hard pressed to not find one.
4) Obama. Future Democratic Nominee. Future President.
5) Cakes made out of babies. Baby is the newest fav flavor of experimental chefs from NY to SF. Pair with a smoky Chardonnay or apple juice.
And you can take that to the bank.
