Someone by the name of me will be back somewhere, also known as Chi City, on the prescribed date of Oct 26 to Oct 29. Never once in the past 4 years would I have imagined that Chicago would be the first place I visit once I began working. But, the dreaded nostalgia has set in and it is making all of my gritty U of C memories seem “vanilla scented deodorant” and potpourri.
Things to do when I return:
-Eat at Harold’s for the first time.
-Play Kanye’s “Homecoming” on my I-Pod as I parade around Hyde Park.
-Attend delightful U of C Halloween parties.
-Drink an entire box of wine with a certain hoebag.
-Confess to Zimmerman that ‘twas I who filled his home toilet with chocolate pudding.
