Have you seen that Discover card tv commercial where there is a “Sun” is talking to a woman at the gym? The woman and the sun are both “running” on a treadmill (in quotations because a sun doesn’t have legs), and the sun is spouting all kinds of sales information about the Discover card. Well, the commercial is crap. What kind of concept is that anyway—a sun, hitting on a woman at a gym, spewing bilious copy about a credit card, and then going away to work on his “abs” (because a sun has abs?)?
Good job in-house marketing team at Discover Card-- you guys have Cheetos for brains.

Hmm, this wasn't in house.
Oooh, and the bastards are prohibiting embedding.
Sorry I keep commenting on this random post, but the more you watch it, the better it becomes.
Who did this commercial? I just figured it was in-house because Discover has a giant in-house marketing department that came up with that concept of those damn jumping scissors. Actually, I probably jumped to conclusions on the in-house thing, it was just so bad that I couldn't comprehend hiring an agency to come up with that.
It was the martin agency. Apparently the woman is a broadway actress or something.
And something about the whole commercial reminds me of raisin bran.
